Im not going to run big boost, but i have an old hks kit with a 32mm external gate and a roto master to4 turbo, the turbo has a. If you have all the necessary gear to do it, go for it. They may be a potential injector upgrade without going overboard - if idle is a little rich you could potentially adjust the AFM a tad.

From what I've read it's so not worth the time and money required to actually make them reliable. Re: 5mge turbo Interesting. Alot seem to run with the 7mgte turbo and manifold and just add a rising rate regulator, from what i have read this seems to fetch around rwhp which is not to bad when going from rwhp.
I realise its not the same as putting a 7m in but thats not what im trying to do. So far i have the turbo kit, supra intercooler and a microfueller and i will be adding a sard rising rate regulator. Yes i also have access to a dyno and wouldnt do it any other way. I will just keep collecting bits and hopefully it will all work out! Hey gttwin where did you get that pic of the 5m from? Anything below say 58psi fuel pressure I'd be happy to use the normal Walbrobut over that pressure I'd either get the HP, or a Bosch. Re: 5mge turbo most of the setups i have read about set the base a 60psi and rise from there one for one.

The 5mge i have is an early one with low comp pistons. That's crazy, I didn't know that. I heard the stock pistons don't like anything more then 10psi. Hard to believe no one really wants to support the 5m anymore excluding rabid chimp,and raptor racing.Rci 2950 swing kit

Before the header the car made rwhp; after installing the header the car made rwhp. You are not guaranteed a good motor; the 6m that I bought and installed many years ago is actually slower than my current 5m.

Low 12 s and high11 s from a early body style Supra is very common and not very hard to do. The down side to this engine is there is very little bolt on equipment that makes much difference.
You need to jump right in and do the big stuff. Sure, you can do and air filter, exhaust, EVC, Etc. Along with these mods the internal engine pieces must also be upgraded to withstand the extra heat and stress. Internal Engine work is fairly straightforward and all pieces are readily available.
The Turbo and fuel system is a bit more complex.
